that Andrea Pirlo is pondering a summer move to Australia.
The veteran midfielder has hinted that he could quit Juventus this summer, even if the Bianconeri failed to lift the Champions League trophy.
And while it is no secret that Pirlo has a long list of suitors among MLS sides, Sydney FC have joined the race as well.
According to Sydney Morning Herald, the midfielder s agents will meet with the A-League club chiefs on Tuesday to hear what they have to offer.
Sydney FC hope to make Andrea Pirlo their biggest signing since Alessandro Del Piero, who had joined the club in 2012.
The 36-year-old has another year left on his deal in Turin, but everything suggests he will be leaving the club this summer.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani claims he was prepared to offer Antonio Conte €20million to become the club s new head coach.
Radrizzani took over in May 2017 and pulled off a major coup when he appointed Marcelo Bielsa as boss in June this year.
Bielsa has steered Leeds to three wins from three in the Championship this season, with many tipping them to win promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated in 2004.
However, Radrizzani pursued former Chelsea boss Conte, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez and ex-Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri before turning his attention to the Argentine tactician.
Conte [was on the list] and, with him, we would have been certain of promotion to the Premier League, he told La Gazz…
Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz admitted on Sunday their World Cup clash with North Korea is do-or-die and he will not be happy with anything other than a resounding victory.
Both teams go into Monday s match desperately needing to win with the Portuguese held to a goalless draw by Ivory Coast in their Group G opener while North Korea lost 2-1 to Brazil.
The Koreans got almost everyone behind the ball to blunt Brazil s natural samba flair and they will need more of the same if they want to tame Portugal and their captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
Queiroz, a former assistant to Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, knows the stakes are high.
It is an extremely important game for us. It s all or nothing for us, he said, aware that Brazil await them in their third an…
Stephen Ireland has thanked Mark Hughes for rescuing his career by taking him to Stoke City.
The 27-year-old ended a largely unproductive three-year spell at Aston Villa in September when he agreed a loan move to Stoke and linked up with Hughes, his former manager at Manchester City.
After impressing under Alex McLeish in the 2011-12 season, Ireland fell out of favour under current Villa boss Paul Lambert and was rarely included in matchday squads.
It was Hughes who provided the midfielder with an opportunity to take on a new challenge and Ireland is keen to repay the faith shown in him.
I would have done anything to get the chance to come here, he said. I m really grateful that I have. I m 27 and there s so much more I want to do in football.
I m still exa…
It has been a long time since Everton last won silverware. The Toffees recorded a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley. Paul Rideout’s goal was enough for Joe Royle’s side to snatch a victory. The goal also led to my 11-year-old-self experiencing extreme pain due to the 20-stone guy sitting next to me jumping on my foot in celebration.
Unfortunately, for many Evertonian’s, all they have experienced is extreme disappointment and frustration that the Blues have served up for a quarter of a century.
Everton miss every opportunity
Tonight, Everton host struggling Watford in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. The Hornets have bigger fish to fry as it were, as surviving the drop from the Premier League is their priority.

Lionel Messi will sit out Barcelona s final match of the LaLiga season against Eibar.
The club confirmed their captain has been granted permission to start his holidays early before he begins preparations for the Copa America with Argentina.
Midfielder Pedri will also skip the game at Ipurua after a hectic season, with Barca unable to finish any higher than third in the table.
Messi has played in all but two of Barca s league games in 2020-21, making 47 appearances in all competitions.
He leads the goalscoring charts in LaLiga with 30, seven clear of nearest rival Gerard Moreno, meaning he is almost certain to win the Pichichi trophy for the eighth time in his career.
It is unclear whether Messi will play for the Catalans again. The 33-year-old s…

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has acknowledged he would rather not have drawn Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League as he did not want to face a Spanish opponent at this stage.
The Catalans saw off Arsenal in the round of 16 to make it to the quarter-finals, only to be paired with their domestic rivals for the second time in three seasons during Friday s draw.
Diego Simeone s men proved to be too strong in the quarter-finals in 2013-14 and Luis Enrique admitted he was not overly happy to be drawn with Atletico again.
You are bound to meet a tough opponent like Atletico Madrid when you reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, the Barcelona coach said at a media conference.
Nobody wanted to play against a team from the sam…
Roberto Carlos has strenuously denied allegations made by German TV network ARD that he took illegal stimulants.
A documentary aired by the ARD network claimed that the World Cup-winning full-back was named in a document given by Brazil s anti-doping agency to prosecutors in Sao Paulo in 2015.
But, in a post on his official Facebook page, the former Real Madrid star denied the claims, and promised to take legal action.
I strongly reject the irresponsible accusations made by the German ARD network, Carlos statement read.
I reaffirm that I have never used any device that would allow me to take advantage of my colleagues.
The report quotes the name of a doctor I never knew in my life, and my lawyers have been called to uphold the alleged fal…
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits there is a lot he would do differently in terms of his behaviour on the touchline, but believes coaches have a responsibility to stay cool.
Following Jurgen Klopp s furious reaction to a foul against Mohamed Salah being missed by officials during Liverpool s 1-0 win against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, the German was sent off by referee Anthony Taylor, and later acknowledged he deserved his red card.
City boss Pep Guardiola had also been animated after Phil Foden s second-half goal was disallowed following a VAR review that spotted a foul in the build-up.
At a press conference ahead of Arsenal s Europa League Group A match with PSV at Emirates Stadium, Arteta said: We do have a responsibility, not only with the referee…
